COVID-19 Update: We're sorry to say that due to COVID-19 there will not be a mistletoe auction this year and as a result we will not be offering mistletoe, holly or wreaths. Hopefully see you back at Christmas 2021. - the interMISTLETOE Team
Mistletoe Care & Advice
Making your Mistletoe last through Christmas & Beyond
How to handle and care for your Mistletoe
Keep your mistletoe cool until you want to use it.
Outside in the cold, or in a shed or garage is best. You can spray it
with cold water if it looks a bit dry.
Basically if these simple instructions are followed you can expect you
mistletoe to keep looking fresh for up to a month.
Please note, however, as soon as you take it indoors with the central
heating on it will start to dry and deteriorate, although saying that
you can still get a Christmas kiss under it there are no rules against
So in the name of keeping it simple, the number one rule to remember
is—don’t hang your mistletoe indoors too early.
Obviously ingestion of mistletoe is not advised due to its poisonous
properties, so be sure to keep it out of reach from children and pets.
If this unlikely event occurs we fully suggest seeking medical advice
from a professional.
Finally, be sure to wash your hands after handling mistletoe, it can
get sticky and if you have ever had a mistletoe berry fight, you will
know exactly what we mean :)
